Plot: (from imdb.com) When a sports agent has a moral
epiphany and is fired for expressing it, he decides to put his new philosophy
to the test as an independent with the only athlete who stays with him.
Review: I knew that Cuba Gooding Jr. won an Oscar for
this movie, but I was surprised to see it was also nominated for best picture
and best actor with Tom Cruise. This is overall ok but just don’t see why it
got all the praise it did. Sure it created a couple of big catch phrases but
other than that it’s not a great romance or morally enlightening movie.
Everyone does a good job, Rene Zellwegger is pretty adorable, and the kid is a
little annoying though. It’s just there, it didn’t greatly impact my life and
sadly there’s much else that can be said about it.
Score: 6/10
