The Complete Asylum # 8 - 2-Headed Shark Attack (2012)

Plot

 (from imdb.com)
Survivors escape to a deserted atoll after a Semester at Sea ship is sunk by a mutated two-headed shark. But when the atoll starts flooding, no one is safe from the double jaws of the monster as it eats fresh delicious women and men
Review

The name says it all, a movie about a 2-Headed shark!!! The story itself is stupid as hell. Why everyone got there, who cares, you just want to see them get eaten by the shark. And why is the island sinking, doesn`t matter. For the most part though it is fun and is not as bad a chore of an Asylum movie to sit through as some others are. The shark has 2 forms, CGI and practical. The CGI one moves way too fast. You don’t see him and he looks bad. Plus they reuse the same shot over and over again. The practical shark looks much better. He’s not in there much and we only get quick cuts, but man is it an improvement. The monster Asylum are always their best ones so if you’re at all a fan of this studio you will most likely enjoy this.

Worst Scene

Near the end there is a giant tidal wave caused by the sinking island. The wave crashed into Charlie O’Connell and Carmen Electra and it looks so terrible. You can they were in front of a green screen and it almost looks like they were taken out with an eraser.

Lawsuit Potential?

None really. Sure, it’s a ripoff of Jaws, but there’s been so many others and it’s not like you can trademark a shark so they are safe.

Score: 6/10
