It was 10 years ago that the Lego video game series as we
know it has begun. The game was Lego Star Wars. It was a recreation of Episode
1 to 3. And now, after all these years, there are so many Lego games out there
it would take a little while to count them all.
There
are a lot of things that make these games fun. They are excellent to play in
co-op. I personally play them with my wife. They offer a unique and great
looking presentation. But maybe best of all is the licensing. So far, there
have been Lego incarnations of Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Marvel, DC, Jurassic
Park, Pirates of the Caribbean and probably even more that I can’t think of.
Most games are recreations of the movies they are from and seeing them in Lego
form is just so much fun.
At our
home we’ve started a little collection of minifigures. Every time we complete a
games achievements, we get a minifigure to commemorate. Currently we have about
a half dozen and looking to grow the collection. Right now I’m working on
completing Lego Pirates of the Caribbean. I should hopefully have it done
within the next month or so. I may make another article about that game and
possibly the movie series, we’ll see how I feel.
