The first season of a show is often very experimental,
but it’s in season 2 that a few tweaks are done to improve the overall product.
TNG made some changes in season 2 for the better. Ryker got his beard, Worf
started actually doing something useful and they cut down on the god like
beings. The stories were more focused on the characters and less on some random
villain we would never see again. We got to delve into many of the important
crew members and find out what they are about. And to top it all off, we got
the first appearance of the Borg!! Nothing too serious this time, but you can
tell they will be a major threat in the future. The series is on the right path
and hopefully it keeps going well.
