Saw : COMPLETED

It is time once again to induct another game into the 100% complete hall of fame. The 17th entry is none other then Saw. This game is half decent to play through. It has some fun puzzles and the traps can get really stressful. However, the fighting system is downright horendous and there is no Saw theme! What the hell!

I could have finished months ago when I initially rented it but instead left two achievements to get. If I had done them right away, it probably would have taken less then an hour. The disc I received from my rental service this week was damaged. It worked eventually after trying it a few times and it did freeze once. I managed to get what I needed and sent it back.

Merciless - 20G - Stomp five Minions to death
An annoying achievement. Sometimes they would fall so you can stomp them, sometimes they don't.

Professional - 50G - Unlock 20 locked doors
Loaded to a point where there was a locked door, picked it, achievement unlocked!

What's going on with the movie reviews?

Welcome back. I know it took a really long time to get The Delta Force Review out, sorry about that. But I promise that before the end of December, there will be a new review out. And that review will be.....
Batman Returns! It's kind of got a christmas feel to it and it continues where Batman left off. Stay tuned for the new review. If you want to check out any previous reviews, go to my youtube channel linked below.

Back from 'Nam and going to Rome

Just finished up Call of Duty: Black Ops. It's a pretty good game overall. The story doesn't really make much sense until the end, which is kind of predictable if you're looking in the right places. The multplayer takes a lot from Modern Warfare 2, but that's kind of what Treyarch does, build of the previous Infinity Ward game. I'll see if I get to urge to play enough to get to prestige. It's a little easier this time since it's only 50 levels and I heard they go faster. So far I havn't gotten tired of it. Achievement wise this game was mid range for me. I'd have to go do it Veteran before I get a lot of achievements and I don't see myself getting all of them.

Now that I got the story of Black Ops done, i'm starting up Assassins Creed: Brotherhood. I'm about 2 hours in to the story and it's still pretty good. The Assassins Creed universe continues to get more and more interesting and they've expanded on things to do. I've only unlocked a few so far. One thing that disapoints me is that there are multiplayer achievements, which means I won't get 100%. I just wish the scourge of multiplayer achievements to go away once and for all. It's not like the multiplayer is that bad. You hunt other players while you yourself are being hunted. The character system is pulled right out of Call of Duty. You have perks, leveling up, killstreaks, challenges etc. If Call of Duty has it, there is some form of it in this game.

50 0000 Gamerscore!!!!

It finally happened! I am now at 50000 G! This was a long time coming. Unfortunately, the game to finally give it to me was Secret Service, but hey does it even matter at the end?

I've been gone for a really long time. Not quite sure what happened. The last few months I haven't played much games, just wasn't in the mood. Wasn't in the mood to do much, got really lazy.

Expect more updates now. And not just gaming! This will be the home of my review show and find a way to make some sort of archive of them.

Big things coming, stay tuned.

A Quick Update

Hey hey all of you out there. I'm pretty tired right now and I'm still figuring out what to do for a new format, because I just cannot put all the achievements anymore. It's just too time consuming and too much of a pain in the ass to do with blogger since it messes up everytime you upload a picture. For now, i'm just going to put a picture of all the games I got achievements for since the last update. See you on the other side!!!

What is going on?

I am blogging away like a crazy person now. 3 updates within a week? Unheard of! I don't know how this happened, probably had a few extra moments in the week to write this up and play some games.

I've started actively playing Alone in the Dark, a little treasure I purchased for 4$. This game had great potential for things. It has clever ideas, a semi interesting story and things that just make it different then everything else. Too bad the controls are so shitty and unresponsive that you'll probably throw the controller out the window before you get to any of these momments. Moving the main character around is like moving a bus. What's worse is that there are actually platforming puzzles, which means you HAVE to deal with these problems.

So far I've only played two and a half levels. So I don't know how frustrating all of this crap will get once i'm at the harder levels.

BLACKOUT - 30G - Finish the episode without skipping any sequences

QUESTIONS - 30G - Finish the episode without skipping any sequences
These two are story achievements. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention: THEY REUSE THE SAME 5 TILES A MILLION TIMES!

Car Thievery - 10G - Unlock a car door after breaking the window

Wired - 10G - Hotwire a car
Stealing cars has an interesting mechanic. You have to break the window and hotwire it with a little minigame.

Countdown to Death - 10G - Stop the wound from bleeding.
You have to heal your wounds to live in this game, no magic health regeneration

Fire Bullets - 5G - Make a fire bullet by pouring flammable liquid on it
Doesnt' really make sense but hey, it's kind of cool.

The Molotov Cocktail - 5 G - Insert a wick into a bottle with flammable content.
This on the other hand makes more sense.
The Air Bomb - 5G - Throw a bottle filled with flammable liquid and shoot it mid-air
Throw the molotov cocktail and shoot it. Done!

Lego Indiana Jones: COMPLETED

We now have a new entry, the 15th, to the prestigious hall where only few games have entered: the 1000 point club. Joining that honor is Lego Indiana Jones. I'm glad to finally have a lego in this collection, it has been a long time coming. This summer I will attempt to also add Lego Batman and Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. I won't bother with Lego Rockband because it's not really a lego game, it's more like a Rockband game. I may consider doing Lego Star Wars II but I don't know. If I get the complete saga done there's no real point in the same game over again. On top of that once I get those two done I'll still have Lego Indiana Jones 2 and Lego Harry Potter to start so I have plenty of work cut out for me.

You call this archaeology? - 20G - Use a scholar character's academic ability 50 times
I was expecting the worse, like about half an hour of grinding. I do my first one and the achievement unlocks!

Start the engines, Jock! - 20G - Use a mechanic character's repair ability 50 times
Again, I had the worst expectations, but it only took 2 tries!

Trouble with her is the noise - 20G - Destroy 50 objects or characters using the scream and super scream ability
This one on the other hand took a lot of tries. Luckily it was right at the begining of the level so all I really had to wait was the load time.

Under the sea

The journey that was Bioshock 2 is now over. I very much enjoyed the second ride through Rapture. The ending I got was sweet and also a little sad. I won't spoil it, play it for yourself. Plus you may get a different ending depending oh how you play the game.

Now I must decide what to play next. While thinking, I grinded a little bit of Lego Indiana Jones. I looked at my gameaccess queue and saw what the next game coming in is: Guitar Hero Smash Hits (sigh). I don't know why I punish myself by grinding through these Guitar Hero games. I don't get much achievements wise and I don't really have fun. Is it the completionist in me? Am I hoping that it will be fun and that they might in a few songs I give a crap about? Whatever the case, I'm setting myself up for another round of drudgery.

Grand Daddy - 25G - Defeated 3 Big Daddies without dying during the fight
When I started this fight, there were only 2 Big Daddies in the room. What happened to the third one? Did the other two eat him?

Nose for News - 20G - Uncovered the secret of Dionysus Park

Found Lamb's Hideout - 20G - Gained access to Lamb's stronghold

Reunion - 50G - Reunited with your original Little Sister

Heading to the Surface - 25G - Headed to the surface on the side of Sinclair's escape pod

Escape - 100G - Escaped Rapture

Story, story, story

Master Hacker - 20G - Hacked 30 machines at a distance with the Hack Tool
Distance hacking is the easiest way to hack, so you'll get this if you like hacking.

Fully Upgraded a Plasmid - 10G - Fully upgraded one Plasmid to the Level 3 version
At the gatherer's garden, all your dream can come true!

Dealt with Every Little Sister - 50G - Dealt with every Little Sister
If you're anal about getting everything you will have this. It's worth it.

Max Plasmid Slots - 10G - Fully upgraded to the maximum number of Plasmid Slots
Plasmids make you better!

All Plasmids - 20G - Found or purchased all 11 basic Plasmid types
They are either given to you or you buy them. None are hidden.

Research Master - 20G - Completed all reasearch on every subject in Rapture
I was so scared I was not going to finish one, but luckily it worked out.

How we say goodbye in Germany - 20G - Access restricted enemy locations 50 times
The grinding continues. Only 3 more cheevos to go.

Cocaine on a disc!

Before you say all the compliments on my title, I didn't come up with it. My friend homeslice did. But I have to write it because that is how i'm feeling right now about Bioshock 2. I wish I had more time to play it, but when I get to it's awesome! It feels more fun then the first one.

I love the pattern of finding Little Sisters, gathering and continuing on. It's addictive and rewarding to look and find things such as tonics and plasmids. The system just feels better then it was in the first game.

Confronted Grace - 10G - Confronted Lamb's lieutenant in Pauper's Drop
I graciously (pun!) let her live despite the fact she tried to kill me.

Defeated the Preacher - 20G - Defeated the Preacher
It's kind of lame that the boss was just another Spider Splicer with more health

Fully Upgraded a Weapon - 10G - Installed the third upgrade to a weapon
The title says it all

One Research Track - 20G - Maxed out one Research Track
They did the same thing, telling it all in the title

Bought a Slot - 5G - Bought one Plasmid or Tonic Slot at a Gatherer's Garden
You would think the title would be more clever, but they're just giving it to you right then and there

Big Spender - 15G - Spent 2000 dollars at Vending Machines
Spending like it's going out of style

Master Gatherer - 30G - Gathered 600 ADAM with Little Sisters
No surprise I got this, I did take every opportunity to gather ADAM

Big Daddy = Bomberman?

When looking at the cover of Bioshock 2, I can't help thinking that it's Bomberman. Just look at it! They're the same!

Besides comparing the obvious, I started playing Bioshock 2 and I have a hard time putting it down. It's extremely addictive, which is weird because I just thought the first one was OK and this is more of the same. Regardless, it's working for me now and I should be happy about it.

Am I crazy? Look at them!

Daddy's Home - 10G - Found your way back into the ruins of Rapture

Protector - 20G - Defended yourself against Lamb's assault in the train station

Sinclair's Solution - 20G - Joined forces with Sinclair in Ryan Amusements

As you can guess, these are story achievements

Distance Hacker - 5G - Used the Hack Tool to hack an object at a distance
A new feature in this game is distance hacking. You get a gun that shoots a spike that you can use to shoot devices and then you hack them with a color choosing mini-game. Guess it's better then the pipe dream thing they had in the first.

Prolific Hacker - 20G - Hacked one of each kind of machine
It won't take long to get this, don't worry.

Upgraded a Weapon - 10G- Upgraded a weapon at a Power of the People Station
You can upgrade weapons using stations. Good times!

Adopted a Little Sister - 5G - Adopted a new Little Sister for the first time
You get to be a Big Daddy this game, which means you have to protect little sisters from ravenous splicers!

9-Irony - 5G - Paid your respects to the founder of Rapture
It's great to bash Andrew Ryan with a golf club, again!

Unbreakable - 20G - Defended yourself against the Big Sister without dying
Keep popping health kits during the fight and you'll be fine.

First Research - 5G - Researched a Splicer with the Research Camera
Remember taking pictures in the first game? Now you can film stuff.
