Book Reviews #4 - The Hunt for Red October by Tom Clancy

Tom Clancy’s name is synonymous with the military spy book genre. He is one of the most popular writers in this genre of all time and his legacy will be remembered for a long time. The book is an interesting look at the military world and the most impressive aspect of it is that Clancy wasn’t even part of the military, he was an insurance salesman. The book, while interesting can sometimes be a little overwhelming with all the military jargon. There are also many characters that come and go and you sort of just forget who they are and what they are all about. It’s a good book overall and it makes want to get smarter about the military world. It would have been best if I had read the book before seeing the movie since you inevitably draw comparisons between the two.

Score : 7 / 10
